Sonus faber Sonetto VIII G2 Floorstanding speakers (Pair)

Overview

The Sonus faber Sonetto VIII G2 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker using a DAD Arrow Point tweeter, a 6.5-inch Camelia midrange, and two 8-inch woofers. It belongs to the second-generation Sonetto collection, combining the family’s shaped cabinet design with current driver and crossover technology.

Why This Model Matters

The larger woofer pair distinguishes Sonetto VIII from Sonetto V. A sealed cork midrange chamber and the concrete base retain the family architecture while providing a larger driver platform for the low frequencies. The current G2 model should be distinguished from first-generation Sonetto listings when selecting a new speaker. It is passive, so source playback, volume control, and power amplification are supplied elsewhere in the system. Positioning and channel assignment should be planned before choosing the final installation.

Who It's For

For listeners selecting the largest floorstanding model in the Sonetto range. It is a sensible candidate for a substantial stereo or theater front stage with suitable space and amplification.
