Sonus faber Sonetto III G2 Floorstanding speakers (Pair)

Overview

The Sonus faber Sonetto III G2 is a 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker using a DAD Arrow Point tweeter, a 6.5-inch midwoofer, and a dedicated 6.5-inch woofer. It belongs to the second-generation Sonetto collection, combining the family’s shaped cabinet design with current driver and crossover technology.

Why This Model Matters

The 2.5-way arrangement gives the two larger drivers different roles rather than treating both as a full midrange. It provides a floorstanding alternative to Sonetto I and II without moving to the dedicated midrange architecture of Sonetto V. The current G2 model should be distinguished from first-generation Sonetto listings when selecting a new speaker. It is passive, so source playback, volume control, and power amplification are supplied elsewhere in the system. Positioning and channel assignment should be planned before choosing the final installation.

Who It's For

For listeners seeking a slender floorstanding speaker in the current Sonetto range. It suits a room where a tower is practical but a larger three-way cabinet is unnecessary.
