Sonus faber Lumina III Floorstanding speakers (Pair)

Overview

The Sonus faber Lumina III is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a soft-dome DAD tweeter and a dedicated midrange and two 6-inch woofers. Its multilayer wood front panel and leather-wrapped cabinet provide the recognizable Lumina appearance in a straightforward passive speaker.

Why This Model Matters

Lumina III divides the musical range among separate treble, midrange, and bass drivers. Its slender floorstanding format provides an alternative to a stand-mounted pair while retaining the collection’s restrained rectangular design. The loudspeaker handles the acoustic part of the system; an external amplifier supplies its power. Matching the cabinet size, amplifier capability, and listening distance is more useful than selecting by driver count alone. The available finishes let the speaker share the room with furniture as well as audio components.
