Sonus faber Lumina II Amator Bookshelf speakers (Pair)

Overview

The Sonus faber Lumina II Amator is a two-way bookshelf loudspeaker with a soft-dome DAD tweeter and a 6-inch midwoofer. Its multilayer wood front panel and leather-wrapped cabinet provide the recognizable Lumina appearance in a straightforward passive speaker.

Why This Model Matters

The Amator edition introduces a revised crossover and high-gloss wood finishes with a distinctive 45-degree grain arrangement. It retains the compact two-way format while offering a different specification and finish treatment from the standard Lumina II. The loudspeaker handles the acoustic part of the system; an external amplifier supplies its power. Matching the cabinet size, amplifier capability, and listening distance is more useful than selecting by driver count alone. The available finishes let the speaker share the room with furniture as well as audio components.
