Klipsch RP-500SA II Atmos Speakers
Overview
The Klipsch RP-500SA II is a versatile Dolby Atmos elevation and surround speaker in the second-generation Reference Premiere series, sold as a pair. Each cabinet uses a 5.25-inch Cerametallic woofer and a 1-inch Linear Travel Suspension titanium tweeter in a 90-degree by 90-degree hybrid Tractrix horn. The angled top-firing baffle reflects height effects off the ceiling for Dolby Atmos, and a switchable crossover lets the same speaker serve as a height channel or a rear surround. A keyhole mount allows on-wall use. Finishes are ebony and walnut vinyl.
Why This Model Matters
The RP-500SA II is the flexible building block for immersive audio in a Reference Premiere system. It can sit on top of a tower as an up-firing Atmos module, mount on a wall as an elevation or surround speaker, and switch its crossover to match either role. That versatility lets a home-theater grow from 5.1 to Atmos without buying dedicated speakers for each position, while keeping the horn-loaded tonal match of the series.
