Overview

The Klipsch RP-404C II is a slim, shallow-depth center channel speaker in the second-generation Reference Premiere series. Four 4-inch Cerametallic woofers flank a 1-inch Linear Travel Suspension titanium tweeter in a 90-degree by 90-degree hybrid Tractrix horn. Unlike the ported centers in the range, the RP-404C II uses an all-new sealed design, which allows in-wall placement and prevents bass loading when placed in tight spaces such as a media console or fireplace mantle. Finishes are ebony and walnut vinyl.

Why This Model Matters

The RP-404C II solves a common placement problem: its sealed, shallow cabinet fits where a deeper ported center will not, and it avoids the boomy bass that results from wall-loading a ported box. The quad 4-inch array keeps horizontal dispersion wide for consistent dialogue across seats, and second-generation upgrades add a larger horn, a vented tweeter and Faraday-ring woofers for cleaner vocals.

Highlights

  • Quad 4" Cerametallic woofers with Faraday rings
  • 1" titanium LTS vented tweeter in a 90x90 hybrid Tractrix horn
  • All-new sealed design for in-wall and tight-space placement
  • 94dB sensitivity, 125W continuous / 500W peak
  • Shallow 6.47-inch-deep cabinet for consoles and mantles
  • Ebony and walnut finishes to match RP II speakers

Who It's For

Ideal for installations where depth is limited, such as a shallow media console, an in-wall cutout or a fireplace mantle, and where the listener needs wide, clear dialogue without ported bass buildup.
