Klipsch R-50PM Powered Speakers
Overview
The Klipsch R-50PM are Reference-series powered speakers that build a complete stereo system into a matched pair. Each speaker features a 5.25-inch copper-spun TCP woofer and a 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeter loaded on a 90-degree Tractrix horn, driven by a built-in amplifier delivering 120W of total system power. Plug them into power, connect them to each other, and add your sources.
Why This Model Matters
The R-50PM are designed to connect to virtually any source without an AV receiver. A dedicated phono input with a ground screw means a turntable plugs straight in, while Bluetooth, digital and analog inputs cover streaming, TVs and computers. An RCA line-level output lets you add a subwoofer later. For a first hi-fi or a turntable setup, it is a remarkably complete package.
Highlights
- 5.25-inch copper-spun TCP woofer with 1-inch LTS aluminum horn tweeter
- 120W total system power (240W peak) from the built-in amplifier
- Phono input with ground screw for direct turntable connection
- Bluetooth, digital and analog inputs plus RCA subwoofer output
- Frequency response of 55Hz-20kHz with dynamic bass extension to 44Hz
- Low-profile magnetic grilles over classic copper Klipsch woofers
Who It's For
A great choice for a vinyl lover or first-time hi-fi buyer who wants clean, no-fuss stereo without stacking components. Set them on a desk or stands, connect a turntable and a phone, and you have a full Klipsch Reference system ready to play. They work equally well as a compact desktop rig or the main speakers in a small living room, and the subwoofer output means you can deepen the low end whenever you are ready.
