Klipsch R-40PM Powered Speakers
Klipsch R-40PM Powered Speakers
Overview
The Klipsch R-40PM are compact Reference-series powered speakers that deliver a full stereo system from a matched pair. Each speaker uses a 4-inch copper-spun TCP woofer and a 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeter on a 90-degree Tractrix horn, powered by a built-in amplifier rated at 70W of total system power. No AV receiver or outboard amp is required.
Why This Model Matters
The smallest powered speakers in the Reference line, the R-40PM bring Klipsch horn sound to desks and smaller rooms. A phono input with a ground screw connects a turntable directly, while Bluetooth, digital and analog inputs handle phones, TVs and computers. An RCA line-level output allows a subwoofer to be added, so the system can grow with you.
Highlights
- 4-inch copper-spun TCP woofer with 1-inch LTS aluminum horn tweeter
- 70W total system power (240W peak) from the built-in amplifier
- Phono input with ground screw for direct turntable connection
- Bluetooth, digital and analog inputs plus RCA subwoofer output
- Frequency response of 60Hz-20kHz with dynamic bass extension to 52Hz
- Low-profile magnetic grilles over classic copper Klipsch woofers
Who It's For
Ideal for a desktop, dorm or compact living space where floor-standing speakers and a receiver would not fit. Vinyl newcomers and anyone wanting a simple, high-value stereo get true Klipsch Reference sound in a small, plug-and-play package. They are a smart pick for a first system or a second setup in a bedroom or home office, and the built-in phono input and subwoofer output leave room to grow a turntable-based system without replacing the speakers.
