McIntosh SESSIONS Volume 1: The Peter Erskine Quartet Vinyl Album

Overview

McIntosh SESSIONS Volume 1 features the Peter Erskine Quartet performing eight original jazz compositions. The package includes a 180-gram 33⅓ rpm LP and a 45 rpm EP featuring four selections, produced through an all-analog recording chain.

Why This Model Matters

The ensemble brings together Peter Erskine, Alan Pasqua, Darek Oles, and Bob Mintzer. The LP and EP formats provide two presentations within the same release, making the recording and pressing process part of its appeal to vinyl listeners. As the first McIntosh SESSIONS release, it extends the brand’s focus from playback equipment to recorded music.
