Klipsch R-800F Floorstanding Speaker
Overview
The Klipsch R-800F is the flagship floorstanding speaker in the next-generation Reference series. It couples dual 8" spun-copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer (TCP) woofers with Klipsch's 1" Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeter, mounted to an all-new 90° x 90° square Tractrix horn. A rear-firing Tractrix port extends low-frequency output down to 34Hz, while the 8-ohm design and 98dB in-room sensitivity make the R-800F an easy load for a wide range of receivers and amplifiers.
Why This Model Matters
Klipsch built its name on horn-loaded, high-efficiency loudspeakers, and the R-800F carries that engineering forward with a larger, redesigned horn for wider bandwidth directivity control. The result is a tower that plays loud with modest power and delivers the dynamic, detailed sound Reference speakers are known for. Trickle-down TCP woofer technology from the higher Reference Premiere line brings steeper cone angling for smoother, more accurate response.
