Overview

The Cambridge Audio Edge NQ is the flagship preamplifier and network player of the Edge series. It combines a pure, DC-coupled analogue preamplifier with a full-featured network streamer, acting as the control centre and source hub for an Edge separates system. It is finished in the range's minimal Lunar Grey enclosure with the signature curved aluminium fascia and floating top plate.

Why This Model Matters

The Edge NQ was engineered so the preamp stage adds as little as possible: it uses a DC-coupled topology in place of conventional capacitors, keeping the signal path short and uncoloured in keeping with Cambridge Audio's "Great British Sound." Onboard streaming covers Chromecast built-in, AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL and Qobuz, alongside aptX HD Bluetooth. Digital inputs include HDMI ARC, USB audio up to 24-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256, coaxial and optical, so it can also serve a TV and computer sources.
