It brings its own amplification to the bass section of a stereo or home theater system.

Why This Model Matters

The active woofer and passive radiator distinguish Gravis II from the sealed, down-firing Gravis I. Adjustable crossover, master and LFE levels, and phase switching help it integrate with the main speakers. Placement and adjustment are as important as output capacity: the subwoofer should work with the main speakers and the room rather than simply add more bass level. The built-in amplifier accepts an appropriate signal from the system, so a separate speaker-level power amplifier is not needed for the subwoofer itself.

Highlights

An approximately 10-inch active woofer and matching passive radiator

350-watt RMS Class AB amplification

Built-in amplification and adjustable bass integration

Who It's For

For listeners who want a powered subwoofer with a passive-radiator arrangement for a stereo or home theater system.

Sold as: one speaker.
